Discover the innovative Wobbleshroom, a prehabilitative device designed to prevent future ankle injuries through Neuromuscular Training and Whole Body Vibration.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Designed by Minkyu Seo, Wobbleshroom draws inspiration from the widely used wobble board and expert interviews, aiming to prevent future ankle injuries. This prehabilitative device utilizes sound and vibration to guide users in safe, fun, and effective exercise routines, integrating Neuromuscular Training and Whole Body Vibration into everyday life.
To ensure user safety, the top of Wobbleshroom is designed with soft PU foam for improved grips, while the body is predominantly made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. The device measures 55cm x 38cm and weighs 5kg.
The simple act of stepping on Wobbleshroom activates the device, initiating music notes and vibrations to guide users in tilting their bodies. A single set completes after 3 minutes, providing the recommended daily exercise amount.
Completed in December 2021 in California, Wobbleshroom's design research focused on preventing ankle injuries by improving peroneal muscles, incorporating insights from professional athletes and NASA's whole-body vibration technique.
Wobbleshroom was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 for its practical and innovative design, recognized for meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
