FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Manila Spa: A Fusion of Cultures

Yong Jun Ma's Manila Spa project in the Philippines is a stunning fusion of traditional Chinese courtyard architecture and the vibrant local culture of Manila. The 8000 square meter space is designed to offer a sense of relaxation and luxury, seamlessly blending classic Manila architecture with Chinese design elements and modern techniques.

The spa's design incorporates new composite wood plastics to create a comfortable and environmentally friendly experience, perfectly suited for the high air humidity of the spa environment. The private and elegant spa suites feature dark wood floors and sharp-lined furniture, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for visitors.

At the entrance, a trapezoidal space with modern pillars and wooden eaves sets a ceremonial tone, while the reception center exudes a natural ambiance through the use of marbles, dark wood, and cotton and linen textiles. The first floor's carefully designed walkway connects various spaces, evoking the feeling of strolling through a traditional courtyard.

The project was a result of extensive research into local culture and the relationship between traditional and modern design methods, ensuring a special ambiance unique to this spa. Overcoming challenges such as the height of the first floor, the designers incorporated traditional ancient Chinese roof modeling elements into the ceiling, adding a sense of space and grandeur to the area.

The Manila Spa project is a testament to Yong Jun Ma's ability to seamlessly blend cultural elements and design techniques, creating a space that not only showcases the luxurious value of leisure but also offers a truly unique and immersive experience for visitors.
