FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vladimir Shorin presents the Type V Travel Electric Guitar, a lightweight and ergonomic instrument designed for on-the-go musicians seeking freedom and inspiration. Crafted with careful wood and pickup selection, the Type V offers long sustain and clear tones, providing a great playing experience in various styles. The extended range guitar's body shape allows comfortable playing in different positions, whether standing, seated, or even leaning back on a sofa.
The design process involved concept sketches, full-scale drawings, CAD drawings, and prototyping from extruded polystyrene foam and MDF, followed by fabrication with a CNC machine. The guitar features a Sapeli solid body, a Maple/Sapeli 5-piece neck, an Ebony fretboard, and stainless steel fanned frets, all contributing to its unique sonic delivery.
Standing at 815mm height, 280mm width, and 45mm depth, with a weight of 2.49kg, the Type V boasts a Matte black finish and a Fokin Uppercut bridge pickup, offering a futuristic, stealth-like appearance. The guitar's anchor access from the side of the neck pickup further enhances its playability and aesthetic appeal.
Use it with a headphone amplifier or a powerful guitar stack to unleash your musical creativity, whether at home, in the studio, or on the go.
Developed in Moscow, Russia, the project commenced in the Fall of 2018 and concluded in the Summer of 2019. The design process involved extensive research into electric guitars, focusing on playability, sound specifications, ergonomics, and manufacturability. The Type V Travel Electric Guitar has received positive feedback from fellow musicians, validating the meticulous design process.
