Amblem Home Furnishing Exhibition Hall

Designer Wei Zhou has unveiled the Amblem Home Furnishing Exhibition Hall, a unique fusion of constructivist art and ancient Chinese garden elements. The exhibition hall, located in the economic development zone of Linping District, Hangzhou, was completed in May 2021 after two years of meticulous design and construction.

Inspired by Russian structuralist EL.Lissitzky's "Proun" painting, the exhibition hall integrates rational constructivist elements with seemingly irrational styles, creating a rich and confusing spatial effect. The space features interesting geometric gardens, rigorous symmetry, and a rationalistic sense of ritual and worship.

Spanning a 60-meter-deep factory building, the project cleverly addresses the challenge of poor lighting by incorporating an elliptical sky window, allowing natural light to flood the flexible public activity space in the middle.

The Amblem Home Furnishing Exhibition Hall was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
