Alexey Borisov's "Japan in Winter" is a captivating animation project created for the weather forecasting TV channel Russia Culture. The project aims to introduce the viewers to the best masterpieces of art, featuring animated prints by the renowned artist Katsushika Hokusai. The project started on 14th November in Moscow and was completed on 30th December 2020.
The animation project showcases the most spectacular winter arts of different angles and sizes, with selected prints rotoscoped in Photoshop and missing details completed. The prints were then animated in After Effects to show the weather forecast, providing a unique and visually engaging experience for the viewers.
