Rhythm of Water: Reflecting the Unique Interaction with Nature

Rhythm of Water, a residential house designed by KUO-PIN SUN, is a unique reflection of the interaction between space and the natural element - water. The design concept is inspired by the origin of water, tracing back to the embryonic phase of the land-forming period when lands were surrounded by sea water. The exterior L-shaped tunnel, adorned with black stone and black waterproof adhesive, creates a mysterious ambiance, while the usage of black mirrors extends the feeling of space without the drawbacks of traditional mirrors.

The design incorporates elements from the ancient Book of Changes, symbolizing the flow of water into the land, forming a rounded pond and a squared fountain. The use of water-inspired concepts extends to the interior, with features like the rounded plate ladder and the red frame, which serves as a symbolic door to heaven while ensuring safety for the owner.

Furthermore, the design includes an extended bar to divide the living room and kitchen, creating an uneven mountain sight scenery. The bedroom, heightened for hummocky intention, not only produces layers within the space but also provides privacy from public areas. The penthouse offers a multifunctional space for work, enjoyment, reading, and relaxation, with features like cloudy extended ceilings and vitreous French windows that allow natural light to permeate the space.

Stepping outside, the design offers a tranquil space for dining, relaxation, and listening to the melody from the sound of the lotus pond, providing an oasis of tranquility outside the city jungle.

Rhythm of Water is a testament to KUO-PIN SUN's dedication to integrating Yangzhai Fengshui into interior design, creating spaces that are in harmony with the environment and the people who inhabit them.
