Renowned Designer Qiuwen Luo Unveils Innovative Renovation Project in Foshan, China
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned designer Qiuwen Luo has unveiled "272 Gallery," an experimental renovation practice that transforms an old residence into a multifunctional space, combining medieval furniture display, art gallery, and private gathering. This innovative project injects art and cultural elements into the old community, aiming to revitalize the area and create a new cultural hub.
The project, located in the center of Chancheng district, Foshan City, Guangdong, China, started in October 2019 and was completed in April 2020. The design team, including Qiuwen Luo, Zhixu Wang, and Licen Ye, overcame various creative and technical challenges to achieve a seamless integration of old and new elements in the space.
Benefiting from the lush greenery surrounding the site, carefully designed windows provide a seamless connection to the natural surroundings, creating a tranquil atmosphere within the space. The project has been widely influenced by the local society, bringing culture and business back to people's daily lives and changing the diversified mode of life of local people.
Qiuwen Luo's architecture studio, based in Foshan, Guangdong, China, has been dedicated to finding a balance between modern material life and people's spiritual pursuit in the rapidly developing urban environment. The "272 Gallery" project was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
