Award-winning designer Yi Ta Lee presents a serene and unique residential project, blending traditional Chinese color psychology with modern minimalism.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Award-winning designer Yi Ta Lee has unveiled the "Symphony of Lights" residence, a modern minimalist shrine located in Taipei, Taiwan. The project, completed in October 2018, beautifully blends traditional Chinese color psychology with modern minimalism to create a serene and unique living space.
The residence features a majestic Buddha statue, black and white color schemes, and carefully crafted lighting to create a soothing atmosphere. The use of thin tiles, wire-brushed wood grain, and reflective materials adds depth and character to the design, while custom-made furniture and thoughtful spatial layouts enhance the functionality of the space.
Yi Ta Lee's innovative approach to shrine design replaces traditional elements with modern interpretations, incorporating suspended shelves, storage cabinets, and embedded lighting. The use of traditional Chinese color psychology on the facade brings a consistent yet unconventional aesthetic, perfectly balancing spiritual and contemporary elements.
Recognized for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity, the "Symphony of Lights" residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that embody excellence in art, science, and technology, contributing to significant improvements in quality of life.
