FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Zhuzhou Civic Center: Redefining Public Building Design

Wsp Architects proudly presents the Zhuzhou Civic Center, a revolutionary project that redefines public building design. The center, covering 62334 square meters, integrates convenience, entrepreneurship, and leisure services, setting a new standard for civic infrastructure. The building's facade styles vary to suit internal functions and urban environment, featuring flexible and simple lines that break the traditional image of municipal buildings.

The Zhuzhou Civic Center is the largest single passive public building globally, constructed with passive energy-saving technology. It utilizes ground insulation, fresh air systems, and renewable energy sources such as solar and geothermal, ensuring constant temperature, humidity, and cleanliness throughout the year. The project's resource consumption is only 1/6 to 1/10 of similar buildings, significantly reducing its environmental impact and operating costs.

The project, which began in 2014 and was completed in December 2019, is a testament to Wsp Architects' commitment to sustainable and innovative design. The center's unique design is a response to the challenges of high resource consumption and low indoor comfort prevalent in the Yangtze River Basin, setting a new benchmark for energy-efficient public infrastructure.
