FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BrightCell: A Chandelier Inspired by Red Blood Cells

Hamed Mahzoon presents BrightCell, a one-of-a-kind chandelier inspired by the form and function of red blood cells, designed to bring a sense of movement and energy into home environments through its unique design. The chandelier, resembling the structure of red blood cells responsible for transporting oxygen, features a two-layered design with an outer layer made of glass crystal and an inner layer made of opal white frosted glass. This design aims to convey peace and beauty to users, creating a serene ambiance.

The main body of BrightCell measures 600mm x 530mm x 660mm and is designed to increase the oxygen in home environments, creating a calming and relaxing effect through the reflection of light in the second layer. The chandelier was realized using glass crystal and opal white frosted glass, providing a unique and visually striking lighting solution.

The project, which began in November 2021 and concluded in December 2021 in Tehran, involved extensive research into the interaction of glass and light, aiming to create a minimal yet impactful lighting solution. Despite the creative and technical challenges, the result is a high-quality, affordable, and easy-to-assemble lighting product that prioritizes both beauty and user experience.
