Tai Chi Inspired Work Desk by Lu Yi Wins A' Design Award

CHINA -- /DESIGN/newswire -- Oct 04, 2021

Renowned designer Lu Yi's Tai Chi inspired work desk wins prestigious A' Furniture Design Award in 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tai Chi Work Desk: Blending Tradition with Functionality

Renowned designer Lu Yi's latest creation, the Tai Chi work desk, draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese philosophy of Tai Chi, blending tradition with modern functionality. The desk's unique design language incorporates the principles of Yin and Yang, resulting in a harmonious balance between form and structure.

The Tai Chi work desk features upturned edges on three sides, preventing brushes and tools from falling, while the soft corner cutting design enhances user comfort. Crafted using CNC processed metal and beech wood, the desk's curved surface posed a significant challenge during production, requiring a blend of machine and handcrafting techniques.

Measuring 1600mm*800mm*710mm, this innovative work desk is designed to enhance the daily work experience, especially for designers, offering higher compatibility with computer use and ergonomic comfort.
