Almana - Muhammed El Sepaey's Visionary Medical Center Design

Almana, a 14,000 SQ.M. medical center, boasts 75 clinics, a radiology department, laboratory department, and pharmacy, all strategically designed to reduce stress and promote healing. The design creates a clear separation of zones of activities, with departments and functions located based on access point proximity, flow, and way-finding. The use of natural light and materials, such as terracotta tiles for exterior cladding, ensures a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

The project's real challenge was to adapt the design to create a healing environment that reduces patients' anxiety and stress, speeds recovery, shortens hospitalization, reduces medication use, and promotes well-being. The design also aims to enhance employee recruitment, satisfaction, productivity, and retention, making it a holistic solution for both patients and staff.

Recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in 2022, Almana stands as a testament to Muhammed El Sepaey's passion for healthcare architecture and his adept technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. His designs are not just structures; they are attitudes, aimed at creating spaces that uplift and heal.
