Nazanin Saranjampour Unveils Mob-clock, a Desk Clock Redefining Time with Mobius Philosophy
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nazanin Saranjampour introduces Mob-clock, a desk clock inspired by the Mobius strap, delivering a new concept of time by converting the abstract concept of time-infinity and Mobius philosophy into a tangible minimal home object. The Mob-clock is designed to create a desirable feeling of time with a combined mathematics and design perspective.
The Mob-clock is a desk clock made up of a graded Mobius strap as the main body on a stand and a ball as a pointer. It moves in only one direction on one boundary of Mobius to pass 24 hours without any repeating and switching side and boundary, providing users with a natural feeling about time.
The Mob-clock's main body material is injected molded PC+ABS, with legs made of blended steel, silver, copper, or gold bar. The small black ball, which serves as the time indicator, contains an electro-motor converting the rotary to motion linear to move on the Mobius strap. The clock's dimensions are as follows: Width 300 mm x Depth 300 mm x Height 400 mm.
Nazanin Saranjampour, along with Parisa Gheisari, Shahrzad Salehi, and Kamran Rahmani, worked on the Mob-clock project, which started in December 2019 and finished in March 2020 in Tehran. The Mob-clock was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021 for its outstanding expertise and innovation, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
