FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pod House: Redefining Kindergarten Spaces

Liben Design Office has unveiled the "Pod House," a revolutionary kindergarten project located in the Xuhui district of Shanghai. The project, which began in January 2018 and was completed in August 2019, reimagines educational spaces for children and teachers, transforming an abandoned laundry into a dynamic and innovative learning environment.

Covering an area of 120 square meters, the "Pod House" is a testament to urban renewal and effective transformation of existing campus sites under constrained conditions. The design aims to tap into the potential of sports and satisfy the curiosity of children, creating a space that fosters exploration and activity.

The "Pod House" boasts unique features such as a circular roof track and a playground for children, along with pod-shaped skylights that serve as a glass path for exploration. The space is designed to release children's energies and provide diverse activities for both teachers and students, symbolizing the growth of life under a warm envelope.

Liben Design Office's "Pod House" project was awarded Bronze in the A' Design Award for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that redefines educational spaces.
