Stefano Ivan Scarascia unveils Sestetto, a multi-channel audio system that redefines the listening experience
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Stefano Ivan Scarascia introduces Sestetto, an innovative multi-channel audio system that revolutionizes the way we experience recorded music. Crafted as a chamber orchestra of speakers, Sestetto brings the art of mixing tracks and parts physically to the place of listening, creating a concert-like experience. The system incorporates diverse methods of sound reproduction, featuring a unique ensemble of loudspeakers made from different materials and technologies dedicated to specific sound cases.
An orchestral ensemble of speakers that play together like real musicians, Sestetto is a groundbreaking audio system designed to play individual instrument tracks in separate loudspeakers, each tailored to enhance specific sound elements. The HiFi concrete speaker is ideal for drums and basses, while the ceramic speaker emphasizes wind instruments and voices through its ceramic horn. The wooden speaker, with its wooden soundboard, is designed for acoustic string instruments. Sestetto is a result of deep self-production research, with the console case handmade and finished with fir, walnut, and mahogany, and the speaker cabinets molded in reinforced concrete. The system also features a multi-channel digital-analog converter and six separate 30W amplifiers with dedicated controls.
Connect the console to a computer through the USB port and play multi-channel tunes with common music player software. Experiment with different speaker connections to explore surprising combinations of materials and technologies, and adjust the dedicated volume for each instrument or voice channel. Sestetto was exhibited at prestigious design events and has garnered attention from leading design and lifestyle publications. Stefano Ivan Scarascia's innovative approach to self-production has led to the creation of a truly unique and immersive listening experience.
