Anamarija Leljak Unveils Retro-Inspired Brand Identity Happetsy in Denmark

Anamarija Leljak, a graphic designer from Grabs, Switzerland, introduces Happetsy, a brand identity that captures the overflow of positivity experienced by pet owners. The design, which won the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, combines modern-retro aesthetics to create a playful and recognizable visual story for the pet merchandise brand. The unique blend of retro and modern design elements sets Happetsy apart, resonating with the target audience and evoking positive emotions.
Leljak's design process involved creating all graphics in Adobe Illustrator to maintain vector quality and employing the Golden Ratio rule for the logo design. The brand manual provided ensures a consistent brand story, with retro dot patterns and catchy colors creating a recognizable brand appearance across all media. The project, which started in March 2019 and concluded in May 2019, was based in Denmark and aimed to connect with millennial pet owners in South-West America.
With Happetsy, Leljak successfully overcame challenges related to shipping duration and non-sustainable production, creating a brand identity that expresses trust, loyalty, and emotional connection to end customers. The design's unique approach embodies the company's values of trust, commitment, and happiness, resonating with the target audience and creating a strong emotional bond.
