Renowned designer Travis Baldwin introduces Unity, a groundbreaking Biometric Capture TabletPC, inspired by the need for a mobile, off-the-grid identity device capturing multiple biometric signatures and processing within the same product. Unity is a high-quality, economical, and integrated solution, designed for serious, rugged use in remote and disconnected locations.
Unity combines multiple biometric sensors and a 64-bit PC in a rugged design, capturing dual irises, faces, and fingerprints from surfaces or by scanner. It's optimized for size, packing more power and sensors in the smallest package available. The device is perfect for identifying people in remote, disconnected locations, such as medical treatment in rural India.
Unity was a âclean-sheetâ design, creating a new product from a loose brief. It combines a PC, storage, antenna, battery, and interface with biometric sensors, lens, and illuminators in a small rugged package. The device is TPE rubber, PC-ABS plastic, metal, and glass filters, measuring 18.3 x 10.7 x 7.4 cm and weighing 1.13 Kg.
