Heloise Rajkumari's "Icy" is a unique ice cream serving dish set that combines form and function in a seamless manner. Inspired by the need to bring together the essential elements of serving ice cream, "Icy" features a magnetic base that securely holds the spoon, eliminating the need for separate plates or cloths. The design takes the shape of highly refractive faceted crystals, creating a perception of chill and transparent ice pieces, adding an elegant touch to the serving experience.
The realization of "Icy" involved the use of advanced materials such as aluminium, crystal glass, stainless steel, and Sm2Co17 magnets. The incorporation of these materials, along with meticulous design specifications, resulted in a sophisticated and functional ice cream bowl set that enhances the overall dessert presentation.
Designed and developed in Bangalore, India, "Icy" represents a culmination of extensive research and creative problem-solving. The project, which commenced in October 2015, showcases Heloise Rajkumari's commitment to reimagining traditional tableware and creating innovative solutions that enhance user experiences.
