Chang An Temple: A Neo-Oriental Masterpiece by Pcc Design

MALAYSIA -- /DESIGN/newswire -- Jul 29, 2020

Pcc Design unveils the Chang An Temple, a modern interpretation of ancient oriental architecture, set to be completed in 2022 in Selangor, Malaysia.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chang An Temple: Embracing Neo-Oriental Architecture

Pcc Design introduces the Chang An Temple, a stunning blend of traditional Tang, Song, and Ming Dynasty architecture with modern elements, creating a Neo-Oriental masterpiece. The temple's exterior showcases the richness of ancient oriental architecture, complemented by a Zen garden landscape and an outdoor gallery of Chinese calligraphy and Buddhism statue stones carving.

The construction, situated in Malaysia's hot-humid climate, features sustainable design elements such as reinforced concrete and clay tile roofs to address the climate challenges. The reflective pond surrounding the temple acts as an air inter-cooler system, reducing the dependency on air-conditioning.

The project, spanning 20,440 square meters, is designed to offer a multifunctional experience, including a prayer hall, indoor and outdoor Buddhist cultural calligraphy museum, and meditation spaces.
