ShenZhen, China - A' Design Award Winner

Xu Ge's "House of Dream" is a captivating public art installation located in ShenZhen, China, aiming to rekindle the essence of home through the interplay of light and space. The sculpture, made of stainless steel, LED, and PC sheet with one-way mirror, stands at 400cm tall, 320cm wide, and 120cm deep, and has been displayed at the ShenZhen International Art Exhibition since May 2020.

The sculpture's unique design addresses the monotony of residential buildings in rapidly developing Chinese cities, offering a thought-provoking contrast to the uniformity of modern architecture. By utilizing lighting as a medium, "House of Dream" creates an ever-changing inward space that reflects the surrounding environment during the day and transforms into a mesmerizing spectacle at night, inviting viewers to explore the depths of human emotions and memories.
