House of Solace - Studio Apartment Redesign

Anushka Contractor's House of Solace project is a stunning transformation of a compact 490 sq.ft studio apartment in an Art Deco building in Colaba, Mumbai. The design blends timeless French aesthetics with modern sensibilities, creating a tranquil and functional living space. The project commenced in November 2020 and was completed in March 2021.

The apartment features a color palette of white, black, greys, electric blue, and pop yellow, exuding an urbane vibe. Each furniture element was meticulously customized to maximize functionality and aesthetic appeal. The design incorporates an eight feet tall teak wood finish main door, a cozy living room filled with natural light, and a compact, fuss-free kitchen with an island and cooking console.

The project faced challenges in maximizing storage and height in the compact space, ultimately creating a serene and spacious ambiance. The design also features innovative mirror features, custom-designed rugs, and unique artwork, adding character and warmth to the space.

Anushka Contractor's House of Solace project received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
