Exocet: A New Concept Chair Redefining Furniture Design

Stéphane Leathead introduces Exocet, a revolutionary multifunctional chair that challenges traditional furniture design. The inspiration for Exocet stemmed from the desire to create a long chair offering more than three back positions, the ability to rock, and be made of very few pieces. Crafted from a single main piece, Exocet's unique and clever design allows it to be transformed to achieve the desired shape, offering a new concept in furniture versatility.

Exocet's innovative design allows for various configurations, from a standard chair to a rocking long chair or a folded chair, meeting different needs and wants. The chair is crafted from Baltic Birch and Aluminium, with dimensions varying based on the configuration. Weighing 68 kg, Exocet's standard chair configuration measures 660mm in width, 1524mm in length, and 1220mm in height.

Stéphane Leathead's Exocet made its debut at the Interior Design Show in Toronto in January 2015, following the initial prototype's creation in August 2014. The chair's unique properties and innovative design earned it the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2015, recognizing its outstanding, trendsetting creation that reflects the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
