Ceramic Speaker Inspired by Wuzhen's Rich Cultural Heritage

Renowned designer Chao Yang introduces "Feng Ya Wu Zhen," a high-end ceramic speaker that seamlessly integrates Eastern classical culture with modern graphic art, drawing inspiration from the picturesque water town of Wuzhen in China. This innovative creation aims to influence the global tourism city market, offering a unique blend of tradition and modernity.

Yang's design stands out with its incorporation of braille on the packaging, making the product more inclusive and allowing individuals to experience the cultural atmosphere from both visual and auditory dimensions. The ceramic speaker, hand-fired at a high temperature of 1,300 degrees, features textured musical note elements and embossed printing technology, adding to its allure.

The project, initiated in March 2023 in Hangzhou, China, is a result of extensive research and on-site investigations, commissioned by the Jiaxing Municipal Government to create cultural innovation products for the regional tourism industry. The design team, including Creative Director Yang Chao, Designer Chen Zilong, and Designer Xiang Yang, overcame various technical and creative challenges to bring this unique cultural creation to life.
