Layer Immersion: Redefining Residential Spaces with Modern Elegance

Layer Immersion, a residential house designed by CHIU CHIEN-WEI, is a testament to the perfect fusion of simplicity, warmth, and modernity. The house, located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, boasts an open layout that seamlessly connects life and emotions, allowing abundant natural light to flow freely into every corner of the residence. The calmness of the gray colors is complemented by the warmth of wood, creating a profound yet simple living space.

The open layout of the house establishes a sense of fluidity in the visual field, with the combination of stainless-steel panels and glass adding a majestic touch to the main TV wall. The use of low-chroma colors as the background embodies a pure and simple lifestyle, while the metallic luster and interplay of light and shadow create a visually stunning scene.

With an interior design area of approximately 71 square meters, the layout includes an entrance, living room, dining room, changing room, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The design is a perfect example of how less color can be used to create a versatile and visually appealing living space.

The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness. The design exhibits strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
