Renowned designer Yu-Da Wang presents a traditional Hakka architecture infused with modern oriental literature, combining culture and aesthetics in a serene space. Completed in January 2017 in Miaoli, Taiwan, the project embodies the harmony of tradition and innovation.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yu-Da Wang's "Early Spring and Poetry" project showcases a 992 square meter interior design and a 662 square meter landscape design, blending Hakka elements with oriental ink painting to create a culturally rich space. The gray-scale color scheme exudes a poetic and tranquil ambiance, setting it apart from conventional designs.
The design incorporates advanced technologies such as a heat pump system with a heat storage device for energy-efficient heating and a rainwater recovery system for sustainable water usage. Additionally, the use of algae earth and carbonized heat-treated wood board enhances air quality and durability.
The project's unique features include a half-moon pond for water storage and fire fighting, symbolizing family prosperity. The combination of traditional Hakka elements with modern design principles creates a space that is both functional and visually captivating.
Yu-Da Wang's design team, including Nails-Cheng Hsu, contributed to the realization of this innovative project, which received the prestigious A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its practicality and innovation.
