Rome, Italy - April 2021 - Ragù Communication redefines the visual identity of Biblioteche di Roma with a modern, accessible design
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ragù Communication, a Rome-based branding studio, has unveiled a new brand identity for Biblioteche di Roma, reflecting the open and accessible essence of Rome's public libraries network. The rebranding initiative, which commenced in January 2021 and concluded in April 2021, marks the 25th anniversary of the Istituzione Sistema Biblioteche di Roma. The new identity features an open book, symbolizing accessibility and innovation, and is closely linked to the institutional brand Roma Culture of the Department for Cultural Growth of the Municipality of Rome.
The rebranding effort aimed to convey the agility and modernity of the institutional structure, ensuring maximum impact and recognizability of the public libraries' image. The new visual identity, applied across various physical and digital touchpoints, including stationery, digital platforms, advertising, out-of-home displays, and signage, serves as a powerful tool for users to associate and recognize the services provided by the widespread network of Biblioteche di Roma branches throughout the Municipality of Rome.
Recognizing the need to reflect a contemporary and accessible essence more effectively, the Istituzione Sistema Biblioteche di Roma entrusted Ragù Communication with the challenge of innovation and simplification. The Rome-based studio successfully conceptualized and designed a new brand identity that embodies the essence of an agile and modern institutional structure, delivering a design that is both impactful and inclusive.
