Reserva Das Parkias: A Symbol of Reforestation and Biodiversity Preservation

Bio-inspired by the queen of trees from the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, the Parkia Pêndula, Reserva Das Parkias embodies the unique biodesign of this iconic tree, aiming to restore soil, reforest native trees, and preserve biodiversity. The visual identity expresses the essence of the Parkia Pêndula, incorporating elements of the tree's floral globes and pendulums, as well as ancestral patterns from the indigenous peoples of Brazil.

The project, architected in the Golden Ratio, ensures visual harmony and proportionality, while leveraging biomimicry to represent the Parkia pendula tree in a minimalist yet impactful manner. The design is not only a symbol but also a call to action for reforestation and environmental preservation.

Reserva Das Parkias is set to commence environmental actions in May 2024, coinciding with the rainy season in Pernambuco, Brazil, where the project was initiated after extensive field research in the Parkias Reserve.

Reserva Das Parkias is the recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, recognized for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that contributes to the improvement of quality of life and the environment.
