Innovative Countryside Book Villa Redefines Traditional Living

The Mountain House in Mist, located in Liangjiashan Village, Liucheng Town, Wuyi, Jinhua, is a stunning fusion of traditional culture and modern design. Developed by the Hongfu Tourism Group Co., Ltd., this innovative countryside book villa aims to revitalize an ancient village by attracting more visitors and residents.

Combining traditional materials with modern techniques, the Mountain House in Mist features a steel-wood structure, imported pine, sun board, and terrazzo. The design team, led by Chen Lin and Liu Dongying, transformed the roof and incorporated translucent polycarbonate boards on the facade, creating a unique visual experience both day and night.

Designed to provide a serene space for reading and relaxation, the Mountain House in Mist seeks to draw young people and children back to the mountains, offering a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary living.

The project, which commenced in December 2016 and was completed in June 2018, was realized by Shulin Architectural Design. The architectural photography, captured by Zhao Yilong and Chen Lin, beautifully showcases the essence of this extraordinary creation.

Shulin Studio, the architectural design firm behind this remarkable project, is dedicated to integrated design, focusing on architecture, landscape, interior, and soft decoration. Embracing rural research, Chinese garden aesthetics, and traditional culture, the studio's work reflects a commitment to authenticity, locality, and the relationship between nature and architecture.

Recipient of the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2021, the Mountain House in Mist stands as a testament to exceptional creativity and design prowess, making a significant impact on the world of architecture and technology.
