Igig Design Unveils Aromas, a Cocktail Lounge in Chong Qing, China
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Igig Design, led by Hui Ying Qu, has unveiled Aromas, a captivating cocktail lounge in Chong Qing, China. Drawing inspiration from the famous Chinese paintings Night Revels of Han Xizai and Eighteen Arhats Scroll, Aromas seamlessly blends traditional national elements with modern expression, creating a concept bar of national style.
The design features unique elements such as stacked and tilted wine cans at the entrance, a historic texture of stacked tiles and grey bricks for the bar counter walls, and wooden liquor cabinets showcasing fine liquors and herbs. The space boasts a glossy Chinese black marble floor, creating a mysterious atmosphere, and a wooden frame resembling a traditional Chinese sloping roof, adding a unique touch.
With an overall planning area of 270 square meters, Aromas offers a comfortable and joyful experience with gradually lowered wooden tables and chairs, high chairs, and upholstered sofas. The stage provides an immersive experience for customers, while a Chinese courtyard with a moon gate visually enlarges the space, creating a captivating ambiance.
Despite challenges such as limited daylight, the design team turned this into an advantage by using dark grey as the primary color and incorporating wood, tiles, and bricks to create a view reminiscent of cave dwellings of fairies and immortals, inspiring curiosity and exploration.
Founded in Chongqing in 2008, Igig Design is a group of young, enthusiastic individuals dedicated to self-breakthrough in various design fields. Aromas has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, highlighting its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically combines traditional art with modern creativity.
