Beijing Wangfujing Xiyue Shopping Mall: A Fusion of Tradition and Futurism

The Beijing Wangfujing Xiyue Shopping Mall, designed by Xiagushuyu Commercial Space Design, redefines the concept of shopping malls, creating a culturally vibrant block on Wangfujing Street. This project aims to fuse traditional culture and future technology, shaping a new and profound cultural and commercial landmark in Beijing.

The project, covering an area of 19,800 square meters, integrates traditional architectural styles with modern materials to create a unique aesthetic space. Through the innovative design and content, it offers users an immersive shopping experience, revolutionizing the perception of China chic among young people with futurism that goes beyond imagination.

Incorporating elements such as upturned eaves, roof ridge beasts, and metal alloys, the project manipulates light to create diverse atmospheres, elevating the content and innovating in scene creation. The shopping mall encompasses dining and trendy retail, presenting a unique Y3K immersive new China chic aesthetic space.

The project, which started in March 2022 and finished in December 2023, is located in the core area of Beijing, tapping into the power of rejuvenation and shaping a new China chic across various fields. The design team has overcome challenges to create a space that leads business trends, setting up themed display points in the atriums and reinterpreting the unique historical characteristics of the commercial space.

Xiagushuyu Commercial Space Design, based in Beijing, China, is led by Wenzhe Gao, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. The company focuses on shaping the space of business innovation scenes, pursuing the double success of business and extraordinary creativity.
