FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DualAd, a multimedia kiosk designed by Piotr Jagiellowicz, offers a unique and delightful user experience in commercial galleries, retail outlets, public places, and museums. The kiosk's sculptural shape and warm texture, coupled with its sustainability and accessibility features, make it stand out in various architectural environments.
The DualAd multimedia kiosk was designed to bring a unique experience to visitors in different locations, featuring a sculptural shape and warm texture that harmoniously fits into various architectural environments. Crafted with sustainability in mind, the kiosk's housing is made of durable solid surface, acrylic material, making it easily repairable in case of damage. The device also prioritizes accessibility, allowing easy touchscreen access for wheelchair users.
The project started with a simple sketch on paper, with a focus on creating a double-sided information kiosk with a 55" presentation screen for advertising and a 27" ten-point capacitive touch screen for navigation. The kiosk is proudly designed and made in Poland, Europe.
The DualAd multimedia kiosk is designed to work smoothly for advertising and wayfinding, featuring a 55-inch presentation screen for scheduled content broadcast and a 27-inch touchscreen for interactive map navigation and customer relations management on the spot.
Measuring 190 cm in height and 93 cm in width, the kiosk's housing is made of acrylic solid surface material. It consists of an advertising kiosk with a 55" presentation screen and a wayfinder kiosk with a 27" ten-point capacitive touch screen. The construction can be firmly anchored to the floor or fixed on a stainless-steel foot, making it stand-alone.
The project of DualAd started in March 2022 and was designed and prototyped within four months. Since then, it has been implemented in three major shopping malls in Poland.
The key obstacle in the design process was convincing the customer that a smaller touchscreen size would be more ergonomic for all users. Through testing and learning, the team successfully reduced the touchscreen size from 43" to 27", exceeding the customer's initial expectations.
DualAd was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that brings a delightful user experience while incorporating sustainability and accessibility features.
