FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renai Dance is a 3D narrative emotional animation dedicated to exploring the impact of new influences on traditional cultures and the widening gap between generations. The film aims to bridge the divide and resonate with both hearts and the future, emphasizing the love of elevating the next generation's dreams as a supportive heritage and legacy.
The film, "Renai Dance," invigorates cultural inheritance and the integration of dreams, courage, and culture as transformation. It tells an inspiring story that embraces strong family love and elder culture in a never-ending chain, offering a unique perspective on the pursuit of dreams and the fading of old cultures.
The film was produced in New York, completed in 2021, and has been screened at events in international locations such as New York, Aspen, Beloit, Nepal, and Taiwan.
For the pre-production stage, the team utilized Adobe Photoshop and Storyboard Pro to create concept art and storyboard, establishing the foundation for the film's narrative and visual direction. Moving into the production phase, Python and MAYA's coding language, MEL, were used to build a pipeline tool for efficient file organization. Maya was applied for modeling, rigging, layout, and animation, while Substance Painter and Substance Designer were used for texturing and refining the style of half-PBR materials.
The film also features an originally developed embroidery tool to create traditional hand-made embroidery assets in digital, adding unique texture to the film. The film's standard resolution is 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels (Full HD), with a duration of 3 minutes and 47 seconds, and a frame rate of 23.9fps.
This film is suitable for all ages and is kid-friendly. It is recommended to watch it in a dark room with headphones or in a place with stereo sound for the best viewing experience. Additionally, there's a hidden Easter egg graphic after the end credits, providing a sneak peek into a possible future storyline extension.
Renai Dance was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in 2024, reflecting the designer's prodigy and wisdom, and significantly impacting the world with its desirable characteristics.
