Yu Sir: A Tranquil Oasis for Dessert Lovers

Initialday Interior Design is proud to present Yu Sir, a dessert shop designed by Chun Wei Tsao in Miaoli City, Taiwan. The shop offers a unique experience, echoing the slow and simple vibe of the township with the mildness and simplicity of Japanese style. The open and unobstructed layout, warm wood base, and translucent glass create a wandering path of light throughout the space, immersing customers in natural elements.

The design features high-pressure laminate, Southern pine, reeded glass, iron parts, faux paint, and Dulux paint, emphasizing the use of non-toxic building materials to ensure better indoor air quality. The spacious seating area provides ample space for dining comfort and ensures a smooth flow, while the half-open food preparation area enhances the interaction between staff and customers.

Yu Sir was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
