Swirl Lamp: A Deliciously Inspired Lighting Design

Kazoo Design introduces the Swirl Lamp, a pendant lighting design inspired by the delicate form of a Meringue cookie. Crafted to enhance living spaces with a touch of Pop Art-inspired home decor, the lamp's symmetrical structure and flowing curves bring a unique character to any space.

The lamp was meticulously designed and crafted in various pop colors, as well as two different shapes for matching and grouping, making it a versatile addition to any interior.

The Swirl Lamp stands out due to its intricate mold-making process, which involves both inner and outer castings to achieve its distinctive curvatures. Its translucent properties allow for intricate details to show through when illuminated, creating a surprising visual display.

The lamp's design process involved 3D scanning of the Meringue cookie, carefully remodeling its unique shape, and complementing it with brass accessories that follow the lamp's curved form. The dimensions of the Swirl Lamp are 162mm x 123mm, and it is operated to emit true light through its temperature-accurate white inner coloring.

The Swirl Lamp project commenced in late 2020 and was completed in 2021, with the design appearing in Maison Francaise in December 2022. The design has been awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures category in 2024.

Kazoo Design, based in Istanbul, Turkey, is a brand founded by Zeynep and Kostas, who have been working with computer-generated imagery for over 20 years.
