Clinic Co: Redefining Coffee Shop Spaces

Önder Akyazıcı's latest project, Clinic Co, is a unique coffee shop concept inspired by simplicity and transparency. The design features a wide, horizontal architectural structure with sculptural opaque and glass mixed materials, allowing natural light to permeate the interior. Situated on the same street as Arcadium, the most popular shopping mall in Ankara, Clinic Co presents a warm and simple space where shoppers and passersby can gather and meet.

The building, serving as the second branch and the headquarters of the brand, boasts a prime location, strategically positioned to attract a diverse customer base. The design aims to increase brand awareness and perception, reaching new audiences and expanding the customer age group from 25 to 45 into an age range from 15 to 45.

The project, which commenced in January 2020 and concluded in June 2020, posed several challenges, including the need to lower the entrance level to zero on a heavily trafficked street. However, Önder Akyazıcı successfully overcame these obstacles, creating a space that seamlessly integrates with its surroundings while offering a unique and inviting facade.

With a focus on functionality and ergonomics, Clinic Co features a meticulously planned layout, including a Coffee Bar, terrace, and work area. The interior has been completely demolished and rebuilt, emphasizing the transparency of the exterior design and its seamless integration with the interior elements.

The project has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022, showcasing Önder Akyazıcı's innovative and extraordinary approach to design.
