Grandblue: A Unique Ocean-Inspired Interior Design

Joe Ho unveils Grandblue, an ocean-inspired interior design that transforms a space into a warm welcome area, optimizing for accessibility and networking. The design integrates elements from the ocean, such as waves, diving, tropical fish, and boats, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.

A standout feature is the white reception desk, complemented by a gigantic illuminated screen designed to enhance brand images, setting the stage for a lively and colorful lounge area.

The project, which began in 2018 and concluded in December 2019, was realized in Guangzhou and received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021 for its outstanding creativity and resourcefulness.

Inspired by the Grandblue logo, the design team meticulously crafted a 1:1 mock-up of the curvy blue ribbon on the ceiling, ensuring seamless joints and connections with aluminum material and Barrisol.

The design process involved a workshop with senior management and staff, fostering collaboration and inspiration for the new office space. The team sourced mood images, created models, and derived numerous ideas from the workshop.

Grandblue's design language draws from Grandblue's business line - water, reflecting the brand's image and upgrading its international presence. Overcoming strict design guidelines and material limitations, the design successfully enhanced the company's branding and image.
