Vanke Skyline Bay: Signage Design Inspired by Nature

Yongan Zhou's Vanke Skyline Bay project, a unique signage design, draws inspiration from the coastal landscape of Yantai, China. The design incorporates environmental guidance into architectural language, symbolizing the influence of waves, beaches, and tides on the city. Utilizing stainless steel cutting and processing, the signage stands 1.8 meters tall and 0.6 meters wide, with a thickness of 0.15 meters.

The project, which commenced in April 2023 and concluded in January 2024, reflects meticulous precision in metal cutting and welding flatness, overcoming technical challenges. The design's research ensures its longevity in the seaside location, unaffected by sea winds. The project was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its practical and innovative approach in integrating nature's design language into the urban environment.
