Botaniera Original Firming Essence: Dendrobium-Inspired Packaging

Botaniera presents the Original Firming Essence, encapsulated in an innovative packaging design inspired by the growth form of Dendrobium, the core ingredient of the essence. The design features a centre ring structure that simulates the multiple nodes of the Dendrobium, showcasing the dynamics of growth posture with chine lines. The packaging boasts a gradient of yellow and green colors from the Dendrobium stem leaves, providing users with a natural and vital visual experience, highlighting the natural and safe properties of the product.

The essence is formulated for individuals with sensitive skin and the packaging aims to convey the anti-aging qualities and care for the skin. The column-shaped bottle with a centre ring imitates the growing Dendrobium, employing irregular and smooth chine lines, echoing the vitality of natural plants.

The frosted bottle features a gradient of yellow and green hues, complemented by a green transparent centre ring structure, imparting a delicate touch and presenting a soft visual effect when exposed to light. The combination of colors and textures results in a visually harmonious effect that corresponds with the efficacy of the product. The product dimensions are 42 mm x 42 mm x 133 mm.

The centre ring of the packaging offers a comfortable grip and increases friction, preventing accidental dropping when used with wet hands. Additionally, the design makes it easier for users to unscrew the cap. The vacuum pump structure effectively isolates air, ensuring the safety of the essence and preserving the activity of the internal ingredients. It also facilitates precise control of dosage, reducing waste of internal materials.

The project was initiated in November 2022 and completed in January 2024 in Hangzhou over a period of one year and two months. The packaging adeptly captures the trend of demonstrating natural and scientific ingredients inherent in skincare products, effectively presenting a visual representation of vitality and beauty while conveying the dedication of the brand to employing natural and organic ingredients.

The design team faced the challenge of incorporating the spiral form of Dendrobium into the product, employing a simple design language to create irregular and smooth chine lines in the centre ring structure. The artistic interpretation of plant growth showcases the coiled upward posture along the support of Dendrobium, highlighting its vitality. The design not only emphasizes the natural ingredients of the product but also highlights its gentle care for sensitive skin.
