Yun Chien,Tsai introduces "Luminous Minimalism," a residential design project that harmoniously blends contemporary living with a serene retreat, drawing inspiration from the interplay of light and landscape. Influenced by feng shui principles, the space promotes a gentle energy flow, marrying modern needs with a timeless sense of belonging.

This innovative design weaves minimalist style with innovative function, creating a space that exudes serene sophistication and a cohesive flow. The use of linear lighting, a curved TV wall, and feng shui principles enhance the tranquil and balanced ambience, while a subtle color scheme, natural lighting, and textural materials bring a tactile richness to the space.

The design artfully fuses tactile richness with function, utilizing material choices aimed at aesthetic harmony and wellbeing. Specialized plaster on the walls captures light and fosters calm, while durable furnishings strike a balance between sensory appeal and longevity. The 76-square-meter space in Taipei was completed in December 2023.

Lighting scenes can be adjusted to create the desired ambiance, and the curved TV wall houses hidden storage, maintaining the clean lines of the design. The furniture is selected for both comfort and functionality, with pieces that are easy to reconfigure for various uses, from social gatherings to individual retreats.

Yun Chien,Tsai's "Luminous Minimalism" not only boasts aesthetics but also fosters a fluid, harmonious lifestyle, offering a model for sustainable urban dwellings that prioritize well-being and adaptability.

This project’s design challenges conventions, providing guests with an unexpected encounter. The homeowner, an engineer by profession, envisioned a space mirroring his character, manifesting aesthetic allure in every detail.
