Jiao: Redefining Home Decor with Versatility and Artistry

Miao Liu and Jiang Mengjiao present Jiao, a unique vase and aromatherapy container that seamlessly blends art and functionality. Inspired by doorplates and 1990s wine bottles, this artistic container is designed to complement diverse interior styles, offering the flexibility to be wall-mounted or placed on a desktop. The product, produced using 3D printing technology, can be customized with different colors and surface effects to suit various home scenarios, especially artistic and personalized styles.

Measuring 150mm in width, 65mm in depth, and 150mm in height, Jiao stands out with its versatility, serving as both a vase and an aromatherapy container. The use of 3D printing technology allows for customization with different colors and surface effects, adding a personalized touch to home decor. The project, initiated in April 2021 and completed in February 2022 in Hangzhou, China, posed creative and technical challenges, ultimately resulting in a product that redefines traditional home decor.

Recognized for its innovative design, Jiao was honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2022. This accolade celebrates the product's exceptional creativity, resourcefulness, and incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to significant improvements in quality of life.
