Adrian Light's ONE20 designed the QMC Hospital around an atrium, creating a sustainable and patient-focused environment. The hospital integrates 15 departments, including diagnostics and theatre suites, to provide day care facilities and treatment, ultimately freeing bed space for longer-term care. The building, composed of modern materials, emphasizes natural light and efficient healthcare processes.
The Nottingham NHS Day Treatment Centre (NDTC) is a significant part of the UK government's initiative to provide modern, state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest technology. It operates as the largest Independent Sector Treatment Centre in Britain, providing high-quality day case procedures, medical treatment, and outpatient consultations.
Located on the campus of the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, UK, the project commenced in 2006 and has been modified over the past 15 years, with the latest work concluded in 2019. The design emphasizes sustainability, energy efficiency, and patient well-being, aligning with the principles of the NHS.
