FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Alov Incense Holder: Elevating the Incense Experience

Arman Khadangan introduces Alov, a 3D printed incense holder that seamlessly combines nature-inspired aesthetics with safety features for a captivating sensory experience. The design draws inspiration from the intricate patterns of the morchella esculenta mushroom, the architectural details of the 13th century Aslanhane Mosque in Ankara, and Central Asian door patterns. The aim was to create a functional yet visually stunning incense holder that enhances the user's desk space while promoting a safe, mess-free, and rich sensory experience through cooled and dispersed smoke.

This 3D printed incense holder features intricate lattice structures designed to optimize incense fume diffusion, ensuring a mesmerizing radial pattern of cooled and dispersed smoke. Crafted through iterative modeling, printing, and testing, Alov harmoniously unifies aesthetic refinement, utility, and innovation, setting a new benchmark in incense accessory innovation.

The Alov Incense Holder marries traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. Intricate lattice designs, meticulously crafted using CAD software like Rhino and nTopology, optimize incense fume diffusion. Metal 3D printing ensures precise replication of these intricate lattice structures, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

The Alov incense holder measures 66mm in diameter and has an overall height of 200mm. The intricate latticework features engineered conduits with openings ranging from 0.5 to 4mm to facilitate optimized smoke diffusion. The incense stick holder part at the bottom base has a diameter of 10mm and a height of 14mm, with a hole diameter at the middle of 2.5mm. The design also incorporates high heat resistance material and modular assembly, ensuring safe and secure usage.

The intricately latticed incense holder is placed on a flat surface, and the incense is inserted into the hollow top portion and lit. As the smoke passes through the lattice, it is cooled and diffuses in a captivating radial pattern. The stabilizing base and locking mechanism ensure the structure remains securely upright, preventing spills and potential fire hazards. The cooled, dispersed smoke provides an enhanced meditative aromatherapy experience.

The Alov Incense Holder project commenced in September 2023 and was completed in February 2024 in Ankara, Turkey. The design process involved exploratory design research aimed at revolutionizing conventional incense holder designs, unearthing shortcomings in existing models, and pioneering a safer, more functional alternative to elevate the user experience.

Arman Khadangan, the designer of Alov, is a dedicated individual with a passion for both network engineering and industrial design. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design at Ostim Technical University of Ankara, Turkey, Arman has made significant contributions to innovation, with two patent applications and one design patent application under his belt. His multifaceted background and commitment to academia and practical application make him an impactful member of his community.
