Daniele Mezzetti's latest project, Plato and Aristotle, is a pair of bedside tables that draw inspiration from the famous fresco "The School of Athens". The project was conceived in February 2021 and finalized in May 2021 in Rome, Italy.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Daniele Mezzetti's Plato and Aristotle project is a distinctive pair of bedside tables inspired by the contrasting philosophies of Plato and Aristotle. The left bedside table, Plato, features an upward development with two drawers and three small shelves, while the right bedside table, Aristotle, has a downward development with a single shelf. The metal ring surrounding the tables can be customized in various finishes such as brass, corten, chrome, or gold, while the tops and drawers are made of wood and can be personalized with different finishes and colors.
Plato and Aristotle are designed to not only serve as bedside tables but also as functional pieces of furniture that contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the room. Mezzetti's unique approach challenges the conventional notion of bedside tables, offering a harmonious blend of form and function.
Mezzetti's dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail is evident in the intricate design of Plato and Aristotle. The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
