Award-winning designer Tara Derakhshanfar introduces "Tara," a versatile and rechargeable lamp designed to bring joy and connection to indoor and outdoor spaces.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Designer Tara Derakhshanfar unveils "Tara," a multi-functional lamp inspired by the joy of fireflies. This wireless and portable lamp is designed to create a deep connection with indoor and outdoor environments, offering versatile lighting options for various settings.
The main frame is made of translucent acrylic material with optical grain, ensuring even illumination. The wings and base are crafted from plastic, and the handles are designed for ergonomic use. Tara features adjustable brightness levels and can be used as a bedside lamp or for reading, with the option to spread the wings for increased light.
Measuring 350mm in length, with a base diameter of 120mm and wing length of 250mm, Tara is equipped with LED strips and a wireless charging capability for user convenience.
Derakhshanfar's design process began in March 2021 and concluded in September 2021 in Tabriz, Iran. The lamp's development involved extensive research to ensure ease of use for all age groups, including the elderly.
Despite facing challenges such as limited design facilities, Derakhshanfar's dedication led to the creation of "Tara," named after the Sanskrit and old Persian word for "light of the soul" and "the star," respectively.
Derakhshanfar's passion for nature and environmental protection is evident in "Tara," as the lamp aims to evoke forgotten emotions in consumers while considering their needs and cultural values.
