Introducing After Life: A Conceptual Thematic Restaurant in Downtown Dubai

After Life, a conceptual thematic restaurant, located at the level 3, Souk Al Bahar, Downtown, Dubai, U.A.E., was inaugurated in March 2019. The restaurant is designed to create an awe-inspiring experience for its visitors, centered around the concept of life afterlife. The design is a multi-disciplinary effort by Devesh Pratyay, a renowned designer from New Delhi, India.

After Life: Redefining the Dining Experience
After Life, a 500 Sq.mt. covered space with a 150 sq.mt. open balcony, is not just a restaurant; it's an immersive journey into the afterlife. The entrance, resembling a mountain wall with burnt candles and crystals, sets the stage for a unique experience. The main restaurant area features portraits of people with varied expressions, inviting guests to reflect on life's moments. The centerpiece is a bar shaped from a stone wall, symbolizing the ever-evolving nature of life.
The design, realized using fiber-reinforced plastic for the stone walls and rustic Indian sandstone for the flooring, exudes an earthy and rustic charm. The space is carefully crafted to evoke a sense of adventure and exploration, encouraging visitors to embrace life's little joys and sorrows.
After Life's location offers breathtaking views of the musical fountain of Dubai and the iconic Burj Khalifa, adding to the overall experience. The project, which began in November 2019, was brought to life through meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the thematic concept.
