Junjie Yin introduces the Arnold-II, a groundbreaking android design inspired by 70s and 80s art and design, blending retrofuturism with cutting-edge technology. Designed to seamlessly integrate into restaurant settings, the Arnold-II boasts a screen and keyboard for customer orders, an oven for food preparation, and integrated vacuum cleaners for efficient cleaning. Its retrofuturistic aesthetic and advanced functionalities make it a standout innovation in the service robotics industry.

Yin's meticulous approach to the design prioritized user-friendly features, drawing inspiration from the bold colors and clean shapes prevalent in industrial designs of the 70s and 80s. Speaking about the design process, Yin emphasized the fusion of retro aesthetics with futuristic elements, ensuring a perfect balance that sets the Arnold-II apart as a visually captivating and highly functional creation. Yin's design journey for the Arnold-II began in 2021 in Los Angeles and culminated in its completion in December 2022. The project involved extensive research into retrofuturism and product designs from past decades, allowing Yin to seamlessly blend the nostalgic appeal of retro aesthetics with the futuristic vision of the Arnold-II.

With the Arnold-II, Junjie Yin has not only reimagined the concept of service robotics but has also introduced a compelling blend of art, design, and functionality, setting a new standard for innovation in the industry.
