Allure: A Unique Blend of Modern Farmhouse and Parisian Chic Style Home

Framework Studio(M) Sdn Bhd unveils Allure, a 1980 square feet residential house in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, inspired by Modern Farmhouse design and Parisian Chic style. The design reflects the sophisticated, elegant, charming, and warm charisma of the lady homeowner, integrating Parisian chic interior and Modern Farmhouse elements to create a unique living space.

To achieve the intended style, the design team utilized whites and muted tones, warmth of timber, and paneled glass, integrating classic and contemporary furniture. The house encourages fluidity and collaboration between spaces, with interesting pockets of areas and well-balanced natural light.

The design features timber oak for floors, ceiling beams, and cabinetry, as well as black paneled doors to achieve the Parisian chic style. Additionally, a feature wall with timber fluted panel and wainscoting on cabinet doors and bedheads were incorporated to enhance the Modern Farmhouse design.

The 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom apartment boasts a sprawling open space from living to the lounge and terrace, seamlessly connecting to a small garden, fostering an indoor-outdoor dynamic. The design also includes a cafe-style bar, a feature for the lounge area, and a dining area linked to the kitchen with a breakfast counter for entertaining guests.

The project, which started in December 2022 and finished in May 2023, overcame challenges of renewing a 30-year-old apartment layout without affecting the facade, successfully meeting the client's requirements for a more open plan layout, a larger kitchen, and increased sunlight in the dining and living areas.

Allure was awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2024, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically combines experience and resourcefulness.
