Constructed using certified solid wooden 3D construction and ecological certified materials, this innovative modular dwelling embodies the principles of holistic architecture, focusing on sustainability, natural materials, and a reduced carbon footprint.
The project, which began in 2016 in ZÅotów, Poland, and was completed in 2017, showcases the use of prefabricated construction techniques and passive technology to create a mobile house with a mobile foundation. The Da House is designed to establish a harmonious dialogue with nature, incorporating natural, recyclable materials and ultra-high efficiency standards to minimize its environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle.
Featuring a southern glass wall that seamlessly connects the interior with the exterior, The Da House invites nature inside and transforms the inhabitants' lifestyle. Its modular design allows for individual personalization, expansion, and even relocation, offering a flexible and sustainable housing solution for modern living.
As a married couple of architects, Emilia and Walenty Durka have been at the forefront of designing wooden ecological buildings and structures with the highest energy standards since 2007. Their innovative approach to modular, ecological buildings has earned them numerous accolades, including the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2024.
