Shuo Qu's Menton project, a reimagined flavored water with a refreshing and unique design, targets price-sensitive teenagers and young adults.

Shuo Qu's Menton project introduces a vibrant and jaunty color palette, drawing inspiration from the sunny Mediterranean holiday. The use of imported European lemons and a distinctive metallic 'Tiffany blue' color creates an exquisite brand image, while a random illustrated lemon pattern conveys a lighthearted, relaxing mood, emphasizing Menton's healthy, natural attributes. With a focus on differentiation, Menton maintains its low price while elevating its value and premium appeal, all without compromising its health attribute.
Menton's design is realized using the Sidel Predis Dry Aseptic line, ensuring the absence of preservatives. The restyled straight bottle shape is not only lightweight but also energy-saving in the production process, weighing only 17.85 grams for a 500 mL bottle.
Targeting price-sensitive teenagers aged 15 to 25, Menton is positioned as a Ready to Drink product available in convenient stores and markets around schools in small to mid-sized cities. The project, which commenced in September 2019 and concluded in December 2019, was executed in Italy and Shanghai, with production taking place in Beijing.
Understanding the evolving tastes and aesthetic preferences of the target audience, the design team redefined Menton's brand personality to resonate emotionally with the young demographic, emphasizing characteristics such as fun, relaxation, youthfulness, and positivity.
Challenges in the project included the need to differentiate Menton in a crowded market, retain its health attribute in a new high-value soft drink category, and strengthen the brand-consumer relationship to enhance loyalty.
