Design Unveiled: Embodying Natural Textures and Minimalist Aesthetic

Jhih-Yong Jhang, in collaboration with Wen-Fang Yang, has unveiled "A Full Circle" - a 112 square meter residence in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The design embodies natural textures and a minimalist aesthetic, creating a living experience that resonates with all residents. The use of circle and arc elements symbolizes unity and wholeness, establishing a great flow and abundant layers of atmosphere.

The curved lines of the architectural structure contribute to a fluid flow of the space, echoing with the use of the circle, producing a delightful vibe. The recessed circle of the ceiling with embedded lighting gently separates the public space into living and dining rooms. The floor-to-ceiling window introduces a great amount of sunlight in the open public space, resulting in a much spacious and luminous atmosphere.

The irregular shape of the dining table connects the kitchen and the living room, transitioning from a perfect full circle to a regular square shape. With multiple ovals forming into the ceiling lamp, it highlights the changeover of the space's features. The use of cool colors such as dark blue and white contrasts with the soft wooden tone, making the kitchen look neat and clean.
